The ProGear Antiviral Surgical Masks are made in the USA with premium materials for enhanced comfort, fit, and breathability. The mask’s outer-facing layer has been treated with Oxafence Active Protection to provide quick-acting and long-lasting inactivation of viruses*.
The Oxafence technology adds an active layer of protection that kills viruses* on the masks while they are worn. Oxafence begins inactivating tested viruses* immediately and inactivates 99% by 5 minutes. 99.9% inactivation is achieved by 15 minutes. The technology continues to function like an invisible forcefield and continues inactivating these viruses for 24 hours^. By contrast, typical masks (without Oxafence Active Protection) offer no viral inactivation and studies have shown that infectious levels of virus can remain present on masks for hours or days (ex., SARS-CoV-2 can remain for seven days).
The ProGear Antiviral Surgical Masks with Oxafence were specifically designed for premium comfort and fit and enhanced filtration and breathability. The four-layer design provides Bacterial and Particulate Filtration Efficiency (BFE & PFE) well over 98% (BFE is 99.88 and PFE is 99.77) and Fluid Barrier Protection of 160 mm Hg, consistent with ASTM Level 3 standards. The patented Wave-Fit pre-bent nosepiece allows for easier donning. The fog-reducing nosepiece prevents glasses from fogging. And, the fit is snug and secure at the sides.

*Oxafence inactivates 99% of SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza A/H1N1 in 5 minutes and 99.9% in 15 minutes in ambient light (~500 lux), per in vitro testing. Any clinical event has not been evaluated.
